How Howl scares
Howl traps its fear in one place: a stalled train stuck in dark woods with something circling outside. Most of the tension comes from being cornered, with characters trying to keep quiet and stay alive rather than solve any big mystery. The creature attacks are quick, physical, and bloody rather than drawn-out or dread-soaked, so it plays more like a survival scare than a mind-bender. It's a decent pick if you want a creature feature with claustrophobic set pieces and don't mind some rough practical gore, but it won't stick with you for long after the credits roll.
