The movie opens with a quieter, backstory-driven stretch before settling into the franchise's familiar rhythm of dark hallways and sudden loud jolts. Once the haunting kicks in, it comes at you often, with the camera lingering in shadowy rooms just long enough to make you brace for something to jump out. The danger here is all ghosts and demons from another realm, not human killers, and there's almost no blood or gore. It's built more for fun scares and jumpy group-watching than for anything that will actually stick with you after the credits roll.
