How Night of the Animated Dead scares
It starts slow, with a tense, isolated setup as strangers hole up together, then steadily tightens into a claustrophobic siege that barely lets up once it kicks in. Most of the fear comes from being trapped with people you can't trust and enemies pressing in from outside, rather than sudden jolts. The animation adds a stylized layer to some of the violence, but the mood stays grim and dread-heavy rather than playful. It's a good pick if you like slow-building siege stories more than pure jump-scare thrill rides.
