Blood Feast(1963)
1963 · Herschell Gordon Lewis · 67 min
In the sleepy suburbs of Miami, seemingly normal Egyptian immigrant Fuad Ramses runs a successful catering business. He also murders young women and plans to use their body parts to revive the goddess Ishtar. The insane Ramses hypnotizes a socialite in order to land a job catering a party for her debutante daughter, Suzette Fremont, and turns the event into an evening of gruesome deaths, bloody dismemberment and ritual sacrifice.

How scary is Blood Feast?
It kicks off almost immediately with murder and barely slows down, stringing together one gruesome killing after another with almost no build-up or suspense in between. The scares come from watching messy, over-the-top violence happen on screen rather than from any creeping dread or jump scares. It's cheaply made and often unintentionally funny, so it plays more like a shock-value curiosity than something that will actually rattle you. Good for fans of trashy, campy gore history rather than anyone looking for a genuinely frightening night.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, Blood Feast rates psychological 1/5, visceral 3/5, gore 4/5, lingering effect 1/5, and overall intensity 2/5.
