How scary is Rawhead Rex?
Watching this feels more goofy than genuinely scary, like a cheap monster-movie romp rather than something that gets under your skin. The pacing lurches between quiet countryside scenes and sudden rampages, with a big rubbery-looking creature doing most of the damage. There's some blood and messy kills, but the low budget and campy acting keep things feeling silly instead of dreadful. It's a good pick if you like laughing at bad monster suits and over-the-top gore rather than looking for real dread.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, Rawhead Rex rates psychological 1/5, visceral 3/5, gore 3/5, lingering effect 1/5, and overall intensity 2/5.
