How scary is Slice?
It starts as a goofy small-town murder mystery and stays loose and silly the whole way through, more interested in jokes and weird visuals than in building real dread. The pacing bounces between comedy bits and quick bursts of cartoonish violence rather than slow tension. Ghosts, witches and werewolves are all thrown into the mix, but none of it is meant to actually scare you. This is a good pick if you want something weird and funny to watch with friends, not something that will keep you up at night.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, Slice rates psychological 1/5, visceral 2/5, gore 2/5, lingering effect 1/5, and overall intensity 1/5.
