A deadly virus has spread across the globe. Contagion is everywhere, no one is safe, and no one can be trusted. How Carriers scares
Carriers plays out more like a bleak road trip drama than a traditional horror movie, with the real dread coming from watching decent people slowly turn cold and selfish as they try to survive. There's no monster jumping out of the dark here; the fear is quiet and comes from isolation, distrust, and the sense that safety is an illusion. The pace is slow and heavy, with long stretches of tense waiting rather than action, and the horror is more about what people become than what happens to their bodies. It's a good pick if you want something that sits with you and makes you uneasy about human nature, not something that makes you jump.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, Carriers rates psychological 4/5, visceral 2/5, gore 2/5, lingering effect 3/5, and overall intensity 3/5.

How scary is Carriers?
On The Horror Database's 0–5 intensity scale, Carriers rates 3/5 — solidly scary, building its fear through slow-burn dread rather than shocks. The fear is mostly in your head — it unsettles far more than it assaults. Expect it to be moderately gory and genuinely disturbing. Some of it will follow you to bed, but it lets go within a day or so.
