How scary is Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones?

It starts with ordinary teenage horsing around on camera, then slowly shifts into stranger, darker territory as the found-footage setup catches stuff that shouldn't be there. Once it locks onto its haunted-neighbor plot, the movie leans hard into sudden jolts and loud jump scares timed to hit during quiet, shaky-cam moments. There's a bit more physical chasing and running in this one compared to earlier entries in the series, giving it a slightly more active, chased-through-the-house feel. It's more of a jumpy fun ride than something that will haunt you afterward.

On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones rates psychological 2/5, visceral 3/5, gore 2/5, lingering effect 2/5, and overall intensity 3/5.
