How The Devil's Rock scares
It starts like a tense war movie, with two soldiers sneaking into an abandoned bunker on a quiet island, and only slowly turns into something much stranger and darker. Most of the runtime is talk and slow-building dread in tight, dim rooms, with the horror creeping in through unsettling conversations rather than big scares. When the violence does hit, it's sudden and nasty rather than constant, leaning on tension and unease more than jump scares. This is a good pick if you like slow, moody horror with a heavy, uncomfortable feeling rather than a fun scream-fest.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, The Devil's Rock rates psychological 4/5, visceral 3/5, gore 3/5, lingering effect 3/5, and overall intensity 3/5.
