You feel a steady squeeze of tension that keeps building until it snaps into a loud, well-placed jump scare, then eases off just enough to let you breathe before doing it again. The haunted house setting is used for everything it's worth, with creaking doors, dark corners, and things half-seen in the background. It leans hard on ghosts, demons, and old-fashioned haunted house tricks rather than blood, so there's barely any gore on screen. It's the kind of scary movie that's genuinely fun to watch with friends or a partner, more of a thrill ride than something that leaves you shaken for days.
