How Re/Member scares
It starts like a mystery you're trying to solve alongside the characters, then keeps resetting the clock so the same night repeats with new clues and new danger each time. The scares come in bursts tied to a violent curse rather than one long stretch of dread, so it plays more like a puzzle with teeth than a slow nightmare.
