How scary is Dead Mine?
Watching this feels like a rough, adrenaline-driven video game more than a slow scare-fest — you're mostly tense about survival and being chased, not creeped out in a deep way. The pace moves fast once the group gets trapped underground, mixing gunfights and monster attacks with dark, claustrophobic tunnels. Threats come from mutated soldiers and traps rather than anything spiritual, and the blood shows up in bursts rather than constant dread. It's more of a fun, pulpy action-horror romp than something that stays with you after the credits.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, Dead Mine rates psychological 2/5, visceral 4/5, gore 3/5, lingering effect 1/5, and overall intensity 3/5.
