How Whisper scares
It starts like a straightforward crime thriller about a kidnapping gone wrong, then slowly tilts into something stranger once the group is stuck in an isolated cabin. The back half leans on unsettling atmosphere and a sense that something unnatural is closing in, mixed with bursts of violence between the captors. It's more of a moody, eerie ride than a nonstop scare machine, and it doesn't try to be deeply upsetting so much as tense and strange.
