How scary is Sisters?
It opens calm and almost playful before snapping into a sudden, brutal act of violence that changes the whole mood of the film. From there it slows back down into a tense, paranoid investigation where nothing you saw seems to add up anymore. The fear here comes from confusion and helplessness rather than constant threat, with the camera itself often playing tricks on what you think you're seeing. It's a slow, unsettling puzzle more than a thrill ride, aimed at people who like their scares mixed with mystery and mind games rather than constant scares.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, Sisters rates psychological 4/5, visceral 2/5, gore 2/5, lingering effect 3/5, and overall intensity 3/5.
