But it's not the harmful environment that could prove fatal to the intrepid, young explorers who have just landed on Old Earth. For them, it's Friday the 13th, and Jason lives!

How Jason X scares
It starts fast and just keeps escalating, tossing the whole slasher formula into space and leaning hard into over-the-top kills and dark jokes. This is horror played for laughs and spectacle rather than dread, with a hulking killer chasing down a spaceship crew in one silly, gory set piece after another. There's plenty of blood and creative death scenes, but nothing that actually gets under your skin. It's a fun, campy watch for a group that wants to laugh and cringe, not one that's looking to be genuinely unsettled.
