How scary is Eli?
There's a trapped, suffocating feeling to this one, like the walls of the sterile house are closing in on the sick boy at its center. The pace builds slowly through unsettling visions and creeping dread, then breaks into sudden jolts and a nasty turn toward the back half. Ghostly figures and body-related scares mix with real medical horror, so it plays as haunted-house chills with a squirmy, physical edge. It's a decent pick if you want a moody, twisty scare that gets a bit gross without going full extreme.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, Eli rates psychological 3/5, visceral 3/5, gore 3/5, lingering effect 2/5, and overall intensity 3/5.
