Set one year after the events of Hell House LLC II, the hotel is on the verge of being torn down when it is purchased by billionaire Russell Wynn as the new home for his popular interactive show, Insomnia. He invites journalist Venessa Sheppard and her crew to record everything happening inside the hotel leading up to the performance - but they soon encounter a more nefarious plot, one that threatens to unleash a veritable hell on earth.

Hell House LLC III: Lake of Fire keeps the shaky found-footage style of the series, mixing quiet unease in dark hallways with sudden creepy clown imagery jumping out of nowhere. It leans on that unsettling haunted-attraction vibe, with dolls and masks and dim basements doing a lot of the work, plus some jolts that hit fast once the crew starts wandering the hotel. The scares stay more fun and startling than truly heavy, though the overall mystery of the place gives it a slightly bigger, weirder scope than the earlier movies. Good for fans of the franchise who want more haunted hotel dread with a bit of a supernatural conspiracy layered on top.
