How Monster Party scares
It opens like a low-key heist movie, following three young thieves casing a rich family's mansion, before flipping hard into a night of escalating violence once the real purpose of the dinner party comes out. Once the switch happens, the pace turns fast and brutal, with characters getting hunted through the house room by room. The scares come from physical danger and gross-out violence more than mood or dread, and there's a streak of dark humor running through the bloodshed. It's a good pick if you want a mean, twisty thriller with real gore, not something that lingers or gets inside your head afterward.
