How Stung scares
It kicks off as a light, almost goofy garden party setup before quickly turning into a chaotic monster attack that doesn't let up for the rest of the runtime. The scares come from gross-out creature effects and fast physical attacks rather than any kind of building dread, so it plays more like a monster movie ride than something that gets under your skin. There's plenty of slime and gore, but it's all played with a wink, more gross and funny than actually upsetting. Good for people who want a fun, campy creature feature with practical effects rather than real horror.
