How Scream scares
It kicks off with a tense phone-call opening and then settles into a rhythm of suspicious hangouts and party scenes punctuated by sudden knife attacks, building toward a chaotic, bloody finish. The scares come from a masked killer stalking and chasing people down, so most of the fear is physical rather than creepy-in-your-head stuff. There's a playful, self-aware sense of humor running through it, so even the tense parts feel more like a fun scary movie night than something that will haunt you. Good for fans of slashers and whodunits who like guessing who's under the mask while still getting some solid jump scares and on-screen violence.
