How scary is The Lair?
Watching this feels more like an action shoot-out than a scary movie, with soldiers blasting monsters instead of anyone dreading what's around the corner. The pace is quick and loud, jumping between gunfights and creature attacks rather than building slow tension. Blood and creature gore show up often, but it's played for B-movie thrills rather than genuine horror. This is a good pick if you want dumb fun with monsters and explosions, not something that will actually scare or unsettle you.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, The Lair rates psychological 1/5, visceral 4/5, gore 4/5, lingering effect 1/5, and overall intensity 3/5.
