Once the violence starts, it shifts into a much faster, meaner gear, with brutal chases and kills that come in quick, ugly bursts. The fear here is mostly physical and immediate rather than something that gets in your head, though there's an undercurrent of unease about aging, desire, and mortality running underneath it. It's stylish and often darkly playful, but the back half turns genuinely rough and bloody, so it's best for people who like their slashers with some real bite.
