How Resident Evil: Damnation scares
Resident Evil: Damnation is more of an action shoot-out with monsters than a true horror experience, built around gunfights, military tactics, and mutated creatures bursting out to attack. The pacing is fast and loud, with tension coming from combat situations and monster reveals rather than slow dread or mind games. It leans hard into body horror imagery and creature design, but the fear is quick and physical, not the kind that sits with you afterward. This is a good pick for fans of the games or action-horror hybrids who want spectacle and gross-out monster fights over genuine scares.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, Resident Evil: Damnation rates psychological 1/5, visceral 4/5, gore 3/5, lingering effect 1/5, and overall intensity 3/5.
