How Eradication scares
Tense and grim describes the mood here, more like a low-budget survival thriller than a haunted-house scare fest. The pace leans on chase-and-hide stretches through empty, dangerous spaces, punctuated by bursts of violence when the infected creatures show up. There's some body horror in how the infected look and move, plus shadowy government-conspiracy paranoia layered on top. It's more about physical danger and survival stress than deep psychological dread, and it doesn't aim to haunt you afterward so much as keep you on edge while it's playing.
