Zombieland(2009)
2009 · Ruben Fleischer · 88 min
Columbus has made a habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee doesn't have fears. If he did, he'd kick their ever-living ass. In a world overrun by zombies, these two are perfectly evolved survivors. But now, they're about to stare down the most terrifying prospect of all: each other.

How scary is Zombieland?
It moves fast right from the start, jumping into the outbreak with quick jokes and action instead of building dread, then keeps a road-trip energy going scene to scene. The zombies are here for laughs and gross-out fun more than actual scares, with quick bursts of cartoonish violence rather than tension. This is horror as a backdrop for comedy and character banter, not something meant to unsettle you. It's a great pick if you want to laugh and see gory chaos without ever feeling uneasy or scared for real.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, Zombieland rates psychological 1/5, visceral 3/5, gore 3/5, lingering effect 1/5, and overall intensity 1/5.
