How scary is The Devil's Tomb?
It starts like a straightforward military mission movie, all gear-checks and radio chatter, before shifting underground into a darker, monster-hunt survival story once the squad finds what they're not supposed to. The scares lean on sudden attacks and things jumping out in the dark rather than slow dread, with soldiers getting picked off one by one. Gunfire and physical danger drive most of the tension, with only a light layer of otherworldly, supernatural creepiness underneath. It's more of a rough, action-heavy monster romp than something that will actually stay with you after the credits.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, The Devil's Tomb rates psychological 2/5, visceral 4/5, gore 3/5, lingering effect 1/5, and overall intensity 3/5.
