How The Owners scares
It starts as a straightforward heist-gone-wrong setup, calm and almost playful, then slowly twists into something much nastier once control shifts to the people who live in the house. The back half turns into a tense, trapped ordeal full of shifting power and nasty surprises rather than constant chasing. There's a nagging sense of being outsmarted and cornered more than pure jump-scare shocks. It's more uncomfortable and mean-spirited than outright horrifying, good for fans of home-invasion thrillers with a dark, twisted edge.
