How scary is Dressed to Kill?
It opens slow and moody, lingering on tension between characters and voyeuristic camera moves before erupting into sudden, brutal violence that changes the whole direction of the story. The pace is deliberate and stylish, more interested in unease, suspicion, and sexual tension than constant scares. Once the killing starts, it shifts into a tense cat-and-mouse chase with real physical danger and a nagging sense of paranoia about who to trust. It's less about jump scares and more about slick, uncomfortable dread mixed with flashes of shocking violence.
On The Horror Database's 0–5 scare profile, Dressed to Kill rates psychological 4/5, visceral 3/5, gore 3/5, lingering effect 3/5, and overall intensity 3/5.
